Windsor Towers
After a bit of wandering around Victoria Station, Joy and I boarded a coach for the 90 ride to Windsor, the favorite residence of the Queen. Windsor Castle dates from 1080 when William the Conqueror first built the earthen mound where the Round Tower now stands.
Eton
Windsor lies on the Thames River, right across from the town of Eton, famous for the college of the same name. After visiting the Castle, we strolled across the river to look at the shops and the towering Cathedral of Eton College.
