Blizzard of 2003

In 2003, while on our yearly trip to Denver, we were caught in a blizzard. The snows fell heavily for three days. Many feet of snow accumulated, trapping us in the house. We went to Blockbuster to pick up a few movies to watch during the week our first evening and the snow was already coming down heavily. After the second day of heavy snow, four of us trudged through the neighborhood about a mile to the local convenience store. The shelves were bare. No eggs, milk, pop, bread, bottled water or snacks were left. Most of the candy was gone too. It was like a going out of business sale only the store was still open, waiting for the next delivery.
